
KRE8ivU Cinematography/Filmmaking Instructor
Job Description:
Teach middle and high school age students video production using a non-linear video editing software. The instructor candidate should be familiar with the process of video production for, artists, commercials, Foley, and ADR. Should also be proficient with story-boarding, script writing, lighting, and set design.
You will be working with young students and expected to keep a high energy, fast-paced, and fun environment. Patience and the ability to problem solve is a must. The instructor is should be passionate about cinematography and filmmaking, loves to create good cinematic stories, familiar with multiple genres, and a great communicator to the students.
Class size will range from 8 to 25 students (an assistant will be assigned to larger classes). Requires lifting 25lbs., pushing tables and chairs into position, sitting, standing, setup and take down of portable studio equipment.

Onsite, in the City of Lexington, North Carolina (In public school and church buildings)

Skills:
Proficient in Video Production and knowledgeable in production, lighting, set design, storyboarding, storytelling, composition, video editing, various pro video cameras, and using smartphones.

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

Advanced proficiency with NLE's

Demonstrated advanced production experience based on commercial reels

Understands all aspects of the video production process and able to easily communicate with others

Organized, exceptionally detail-oriented, focused, punctual, responsible and reliable

Demonstrated visual arts skill (portfolio review will be part of the interview process)

Experience teaching or working with kids is preferred (but not requires)

An authentic "can do!" personality, as well as a natural tendency to be proactive and take the initiative
