KRE8ivU Music Production Instructor
Job Description:
Teach middle and high school age students music production using a digital audio workstation. The instructor candidate should be familiar with the process of music/audio production for, artists, commercials, games, Foley, and ADR. You will be working with young students and expected to keep a high energy, fast-paced, and fun environment. Patience and the ability to problem solve is a must. The instructor is should be passionate about music, loves to create good music, familiar with multiple genres, and a great communicator to the students.
Class size will range from 8 to 25 students (an assistant will be assigned to larger classes). Requires lifting 25lbs., pushing tables and chairs into position, sitting, standing, setup and take down of portable studio equipment.

Experience Level:
Entry: Minimum 2 years or more professional music production
Bilingual:
Not mandatory but a plus
Demo/Portfolio/Samples:
MP3’s of professional productions of an artist(s), a band(s) and/or any professional commercial audio projects.
Location:
Onsite, in the City of Lexington, North Carolina (In public school and church buildings)
Relocation:
No, local candidates only
Skills:
Proficient in Music Production and knowledge of Reason Studio Reason 11, Logic Pro, Pro Tools. Proficiency in Video Production in Basic video production, Lighting, and Storytelling is a plus.
Access/own the software/hardware:
Must own laptop windows or mac

Proficient in Music Production and knowledge of Propellerhead Reason 9, Logic Pro, Pro Tools. Windows, Apple, Android, and IOS systems.

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

Advanced proficiency with DAW’s

Demonstrated advanced production experience based on commercial demos

Proficient in music theory and piano enough to compose and arrange professional music

Understands all aspects of the recording and music production process and able to easily communicate to others

Organized, exceptionally detail-oriented, focused, punctual, responsible and reliable

Demonstrated visual arts skill (portfolio review will be part of the interview process)

Experience teaching or working with kids is preferred (but not required)

An authentic "can do!" personality, as well as a natural tendency to be proactive and take initiative
